Telemark is one of the oldest skiing techniques around. The skiing style is a kind of dancing movement in which the skier's heels are free and one knee is bent on each turn as the skier descends. At the moment telemark is enjoying something of a boom, so if you see a graceful, elegant skier on the slopes, you can be sure it is a telemarker !
